A Rare Collaboration at the Peak of Japanese Cuisine: Chef Shiro Yamazaki x Chef Manabu Asanuma at Sushi Ichimura. For two nights only, Chef Manabu Asanuma will host Chef Shiro Yamazaki, one of Japan’s most refined culinary talent for a poetic journey through seasonal Japanese cuisine in Tribeca. Chef Yamazaki brings with him the soul of his acclaimed Tabelog Silver-rated, impossible-to-book Nishiazabu restaurant to Tribeca. Yamazaki in Tokyo is where ingredients are treated with reverence, charcoal grilling is elevated to an art form, and each course a deliberate, sensorial experience. Chef Yamazaki also a certified sommelier - who has a keen palette and ability to inform his cooking. For this special evening, Chef Asanuma, executive chef of Sushi Ichimura will host Chef Yamazaki in a culinary dialogue — a multi-course tasting experience that explores the boundaries of Japanese craft without constraint by format or tradition.
