Cherry Blossom "HANAMI" at Sushi Ichimura 4.18-4.20

Hanami (花見, "flower viewing") is a Japanese tradition of enjoying the transient beauty of cherry blossoms (桜, sakura). The term Hanami was first used in the Heian era novel The Tale of Genji, which the 400-year old screen in the Sushi Ichimura dining room depicts. Chef Ichimura and Chef Asanuma have prepared a special Spring Hanami menu including a festive ice plate of prawns, abalone, surf clams and sea urchin. Spring delicacies such as foraged mountain vegetables with clam soup, cherry blossom trout and Kyoto bamboo shoot also make an appearance. Chef Ichimura will prepare an assortment of sushi pieces including his signature tuna presentations as well as other seasonal fish representing spring in Japan. A special take home gift will also be presented for guests to continue the HANAMI experience at home!
